Atuheire Brian has 8 years’ experience in environmental/biodiversity conservation and climate change decision making. Throughout the 8 years, he has built extensive experience. In 2016 Brian Co-founded a youth led organisations the African Initiative for Food security and Environment where he is Executive Director. African Initiative on Food Security and Environment (AIFE-Uganda) is a nonprofit organization in Uganda established to deal with the environmental/Biodiversity conservation and climate change mitigations and adaptation.

Brian is experienced in research and Conservation and project planning. Brian has led several projects and member of teams in Uganda that have been Engaging local communities in sustainable wildlife management and tackling illegal wildlife trade; developing sustainable livelihood opportunities for park-adjacent communities; strengthening community voice in conservation policymaking and mainstreaming biodiversity values into development.

Brian is also very knowledgeable in various thematic areas including; Organizational development, monitoring and evaluation, gender mainstreaming, Public private partnerships. In addition, Brian has handled a number of key livelihoods and program start up related consultancy assignments.
